What is Community Care?
Community Care is an effort to show our neighbors in Derry, Latrobe, and Ligonier that our church truly cares. We have found here at Bible Baptist that one of the biggest ways we can make a difference is through prayer. As much money and manpower that seems to be going into religion and charity in the day we live, we believe that prayer still makes the biggest difference.

What We Do
Community care is using the tool of Christ-like love to make an eternal difference in the life of the community around us. This ministry was designed to help the community in which we live. We as a church believe that, through prayer, all things are possible. Our church uses teams of two or three volunteers to see how we can pray for those who are hurting. Every other Tuesday, loving church members come together to walk door to door to houses in our community finding those who have prayer requests. Though the main focal point of this ministry is prayer, we do not limit ourselves to just one focus. Some of the other means of making a difference in our community include, mowing a widows lawn, light construction work, providing a holiday meal, etc. No matter what the task, our goal is to extend the love of Christ to others.
